Beranger, whos Ubuntu-150px A User Quits Ubuntu Based On His Personal Views of Business Practices by Canonical blog I visit on a regular basis, has been Ubuntu user for quite sometime now. In the last few days he has changed his mind drastically towards this distribution, or rather the business practices of Mark Shuttleworth, and has decided to quit using Ubuntu all together.

Well, I respect his decision, and being frank I even agree with him on certain occasions, but still couldn't find a substancial reason why he opted for such a step. After all apart from Canonical and M.S. there is community that also supports the development of this distro.

What?! He thinks that just because he lives under a government with oppressive taxation (UK), all other countries should be required to have the same - by law!

So according to his skewed philosophy, it would be a crime for a country wishing to improve its standing by securing corporate interest and investment from overseas, to lower its taxes in order to do so.

If he’s so envious, he should at least be willing to help himself and move to such a place, rather than campaigning to destroy something good, and decree that no-one should be allowed to have it, just because he is not willing to work to attain it himself.
