Once I updated amarok using SMART package manager to newer available version, I noticed that it now has different layout. Compared to the older and better organized tabs, I am really disliking the new layout. And there is no option in preferences to change it to older layout, where all the contextual info sidebar was organized on the left column. This "centralised" layout doesn't suit my taste at all and it looks "weird" to me.
From Amarok site:
Amarok "Fast Forward" 1.4.1-beta1 On The Road
The most visible result of the meeting is a major improvement to the user interface: the "current" sidebar tab has been moved to the top of the playlist. This is also one of the major reasons why we do a beta release for 1.4.1, we want you to try the new layout, report problems, bugs and how do you like it. All this feedback will justify whether we remove it for the Fast Forward series, and delay it until 2.0, or to leave it and make it as awesome as possible.
I find this layout to loose a lot of valuable space!

Amarok team - either make it to what it used to be or have an extra option in preferences section to choose from either one.
