Found the following search plug-in for Firefox, which searches for applications on software.opensuse.com server. This is simply cool plug-in. Thanks to Jop from SUSE Linux Community forum for providing this plug-in.
Download the plug-in and copy it to one of the following paths:
/usr/lib/firefox/searchplugins/
or
~/.mozilla/firefox/<profile>/searchplugins
Now relaunch your Firefox browser and notice the new search module:
